Complex SQL syntax and conversion programs can become a thing of the past with MDTransform. It helps you quickly map and manage database file changes, and it even generates SQL scripts. Development teams are only limited by what SQL can do.
Using MDTransform, confidently automate managing field expansions, initializing new fields, merging fields, and managing deployment of DDS to DDL conversions. It also handles field type changes such as numerical to string, string to graphical, and vice versa, with ease.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=”73481″ media_width_use_pixel=”yes” alignment=”center” media_width_pixel=”893″][vc_column_text]MDTransform for IBM i guides users through the steps to easily add and populate new fields or update field content. Behind the scenes, it builds and executes a dynamic SQL insert to populate the new version of the file.
Data transformation results are validated during the compile phase to avoid any surprises during installation. In fact, users can view, customize, and validate conversion results when the transformation occurs.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=”2″ desktop_visibility=”yes”][/vc_column][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ medium_visibility=”yes” medium_width=”4″ mobile_visibility=”yes” shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/2″][vc_single_image media=”74487″ media_lightbox=”yes” media_poster=”yes” media_width_percent=”100″][vc_empty_space empty_h=”2″ desktop_visibility=”yes”][vc_custom_heading]Build and Refresh Test Data[/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]Providing reliable test data is critical for any test plan. MDTransform uses MDCMS Data Copy Templates to identify selection criteria for building and maintaining test data. Select which files, and which records in the file, you need. MDTransform can even initiate column-specific masking of confidential data. Development and QA teams can quickly refresh data whether it resides on the same or different partitions. Templates may be saved, copied, and reused, and data transfer can occur dynamically or be scheduled for periodic refreshes.
MDTransform can be accessed from MDCMS Object Manager or from MDOpen, the Eclipse-based plug in to MDCMS. It is an optional MDCMS feature available for a nominal fee. Midrange Dynamics users who would like to check out the new functionality may request a free 30-day license key.[/vc_column_text][vc_button button_color=”color-109311″ radius=”btn-round” border_width=”0″ link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.midrangedynamics.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2018%2F12%2FMDTransform-and-MDRapid.pdf||target:%20_blank|”]Download a PDF[/vc_button][vc_button button_color=”color-274436″ radius=”btn-circle” border_width=”0″ icon_position=”right” icon=”fa fa-arrow-right2″ link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.midrangedynamics.com%2Fcontact-us%2F|||”]Schedule a Demo[/vc_button][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ position_vertical=”middle” align_horizontal=”align_center” overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ override_padding=”yes” h_padding=”2″ top_padding=”4″ bottom_padding=”4″ back_color=”color-933299″ overlay_alpha=”100″ gutter_size=”3″ column_width_percent=”100″ medium_visibility=”yes” mobile_visibility=”yes” shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ position_vertical=”middle” align_horizontal=”align_center” style=”dark” overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ css_animation=”zoom-in” animation_delay=”200″ width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading text_font=”font-762333″ text_weight=”300″ text_color=”color-xsdn”]“The product is solid, and the support we’ve received has been great.
